How to Add/Edit your "Geographic Service Area"
Jan 22, 2010 Qual-Port How-To\'s, customer solutions
Your Geographic Service Area is defined by the selection of all U.S. Counties that your company competitively markets and performs services. It is a very important template within your company Qual-Port(s).
Why? Because your Geographic Service Area is one of the 2 templates within your Qual-Port(s) that controls where your company Qual-Port(s) will appear in the JobSite123.com search engine. (The other one is your Scope of Services by CSI Code.) To illustrate this, let’s look at an example: A JobSite123.com user performs a search for electrical contractors in Orlando, Florida. If you are an electrical contractor and your Geographic Service Area includes Orange County, Florida (where Orlando is located), then your company Qual-Port will appear in the search results.
So be careful to accurately select all of the U.S. Counties that apply to your company’s Geographic Service Area. Leave out a U.S. County that you actually service, and you may miss out on an opportunity for a prospective new client to find you in our search engine. Having said that, don’t “over-do it” and select U.S. Counties that you really do not competitively market and perform your services, as you will risk frustrating or alienating potential buyers in the commercial construction community.
Please read the following TIP before begining: If your company has multiple office locations, you should create a unique Qual-Port for each location. You can then designate the appropriate Geographic Service Area for each office location in each of your Qual-Ports.
To ADD/EDIT your Geographic Service Area:
1.) Go to www.jobsite123.com and logon with your username and password in the fields at the very top of the screen.
2.) From your welcome member landing page, look under the section entitled “MODIFY MY QUAL-PORT” and click on the name of your company. This will take you into your Qual-Port in edit mode, where you can get to work adding/editing your information.
3.) In the left-hand navigation menu in your Qual-Port, select “GEOGRAPHIC SERVICE AREA”.
4.) In the top right hand corner, click “EDIT THIS SECTION”.
5) To add a new state to your Geogrpahic Service Area, click on ”ADD A NEW STATE”.
6.) Select your desired U.S. State – to view a complete listing of all the U.S. Counties located within that U.S. State.
7.) Use the checkboxes to SELECT the U.S. Counties in your Geographic Service Area – and click on “SAVE CHANGES” at the bottom.
8.) To continue on to another U.S. State, click on “RETURN TO STATE SELECTION” and repeat the steps.
9.) To edit selections from a U.S. State that you have already added to your Geographic Service Area, simply click on “EDIT THIS STATE” and repeat the process.

How to Add/Edit your "Scope of Services by CSI Code"
Jan 13, 2010 Qual-Port How-To\'s, customer solutions
A complete and accurate ”Scope of Services by *CSI Code” is one of the most important templates in your company Qual-Port on JobSite123.com.
Why? Because the codes that you select inside this template (along with the U.S. counties you select in your geographic service area) will determine where your Qual-Port will be found in our search engine. So take the time to denote each specific code carefully. After all, if you fail to include a code that you actually service, JobSite123.com users who are searching under that particular code will not see your company listed. Conversely, if you select a CSI Code that you do not service, you run the risk of frustrating a client or prospect by misleading them into thinking that your company provides a certain service or product (when indeed you do not).
To add/edit your Scope of Services by CSI Code:
1) Go to www.jobsite123.com and login with your username and password in the fields at the very top of the screen.
2) From your welcome member landing page, look under the section entitled ”Modify my Qual-Port” and click on the name of your company. This will take you into your Qual-Port in edit mode, where you can get to work adding/editing your information.
3) In the left-hand navigation menu in your Qual-Port, select “Scope of Services by CSI Code”.
4) In the top right-hand corner of the Scope of Services by CSI Code template, click on “Edit this section”.
5) In the center of the screen, click the button marked “ADD CSI CODES”
6) Select your desired CSI code division from the menu of choices. (Note: The menu of choices will differ depending on your service provider type. Specialty contractors, vendors and material suppliers will see a list of the CSI code divisions from 1-50. General contractors, program managers, and corporate service providers will see codes created for their individual business types.)
7) You will now see a complete list of the (level 2) CSI codes found within that division. G0 ahead and select your desired (level 2) CSI code.
8 ) You will now see a complete list of the (level 3) CSI codes available for selection. Use the checkboxes to add/delete any codes from your Scope of Services. When finished, click “Save Changes”.
9) Repeat the process, starting with step 7, for any other CSI codes within that division.
10) When you are finished within that division, use the green button at the top of the list marked “Return to CSI Code – Divisions” so that you can go into any other divisions that may apply to your Scope of Services
11) Begin the process again at step 6 to add/edit any codes in a different CSI division.

Construction Professionals – Continue Editing Your Qual-Port
Jan 8, 2010 customer solutions
Now that you’ve completed the Qual-Port wizard, you probably think you’re finished, right? Not exactly. As we outlined in a previous blog post -there’s a big difference between just finishing the Qual-Port Wizard vs. completing all the available templates. Today, I’m going to teach you how to log back in once you have completed the wizard, and continue to enhance your Qual-Port.
To start, you’re going to need to go to the JobSite123 Homepage At the very top of the screen, you’ll see a place to enter your username and password. Go ahead and type these in. Now you’re in the Start Search Page. (Look familiar?) Once again, you’ll see three grey boxes in the middle of the screen. Now the one on the right-hand side will contain the heading “Modify my Qual-Port”, and the name of your company will appear underneath. Click on the name of your company.
Now you should be looking at your Qual-Port. The contact information you entered in the wizard will appear at the very top, along with your company’s logo, if you entered one. On the left-hand side you’ll see the navigation bar. This contains all of the templates we have set up for you to best display your company’s qualifications. Notice how only a few of them are green, and have a puzzle piece next to them? This means that there is information in these templates. Our goal is going to be to have every one of these filled out by the time we’re done.
Anytime you’re logged in, and viewing your own Qual-Port, you will be in what we call “Edit Mode”. This means that whenever you click on one of the templates in the left-hand navigation bar, you’ll see the words “Edit this section” or something similar in the top right hand corner of the new screen that comes up, depending on what template you’re in. All you’ll need to do is to click on the “Edit this section” link to add to, change, or delete the information contained inside.
Next, we’re going to go into a bit more detail on each of the individual templates…
