Because I get the following question from time to time, I thought I’d just post the Q&A here for all of you to read and share.

The question asked is usually something like this…
“Hey Craig, your homepage says that jobsite123 is the vibrant ecosphere for the commercial construction and design industry. What do you mean by ‘vibrant ecosphere’ “?

And my answer is usually something like this…
” ‘Vibrant’ refers to the depth and helpfulness of the information found in the company profiles, which provide clients and prospects with the exact information needed to maintain the business relationship – or get it started.”

” ‘Ecosphere’ refers to the growing number of companies (currently over 200K throughout the U.S.) that work in and around  the commercial construction industry (including contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, corporate support) that are choosing to market their project experience, client ratings and other qualifications – and find project/employment opportunities – in the industry’s largest and most highly visited online community – jobsite123.com.”

And just in case you need a little more info as to why the above makes jobsite123 come-off like the authority for commerical construction and design companies go-to for online marketing, projects and employment…click here to check out this traffic milestone we recently hit.

I hope this helps to clarify what we do for you…’cause it’s as simple as that, Y’all!

Pssst!

Hey, Fella…

Did you know?

> There are tens of millions of websites that are LIVE on the web.

> A tiny fraction of all the websites that exist get the majority of online visitors (traffic).

> Most websites do not get any traffic at all.

> jobsite123.com launched in August 2009 (that’s just two years ago for those of you that are counting).

> Number of jobsite123 Profiles in August 2009…Zero.

> Number of jobsite123 Profiles in August 2011…Over 200,000.

> As of August 2011, jobsite123’s traffic rank is among the top 100,000 most highly visited websites in the world.

> That puts jobsite123’s traffic in the top .32% of all websites.

> Complete jobsite123 Profiles currently attract thousands of views (business opportunities) each month.

So if you were to ask me, “Should I create a Profile for my Architecture, Engineering or Construction Company in jobsite123?”.

I might respond, “Not if your website’s traffic is ranked higher than jobsite123 and already attracts thousands of visitors from your target market every month”.

Listen, I’m not saying drop your website.  If you want to keep it, just link your website to your jobsite123 Profile where you can maintain your Company’s curent project experience, client ratings, awards, etc. without paying webmasters or hosting fees.

Kinda seems like a no-brainer when you think of it like that, huh?

SmartBidNet and jobsite123 Connect to Provide General Contractors With Instant Access to SubContractor Qualifications Nationwide

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 14, 2011

Two key players in construction technology have announced a new level of integration that will help general contractors find and qualify the right subcontractors for every bid project. The integration involves SmartBidNet, of College Station, Texas and jobsite123.com of Fort Lauderdale, Florida – in a shared commitment to maximum connectivity between technologies in the commercial construction industry and the efficient transfer of information.

Finding the most qualified subcontractors for any construction project just got infinitely easier. Today, at the 2011 American Society of Professional Estimators Annual Convention, in Nashville, two key players in construction technology announced a new level of integration that will help general contractors find and qualify the right subcontractors for every bid project. The integration involves SmartBidNet, of College Station, Texas and jobsite123.com of Fort Lauderdale, Florida – in a shared commitment to maximum connectivity between technologies in the commercial construction industry and the efficient transfer of information.

SmartBidNet, a web-based bid management, plan file distribution and prequalification solution for commercial general contractors has provided a growing, yet basic, public registry of subcontractors to its users since 2006. This new partnership will enhance SmartBidNet’s subcontractor registry to ensure that the hundreds of general contractors using SmartBidNet will have instant access to more than 100,000 subcontractors in jobsite123.com – the construction industry’s leading database of user-maintained contractor profiles, containing unprecedented amounts of helpful pre-qualification information, such as: insurance coverage, bonding capacity, project history, client performance ratings and a referral network to other subcontractors that each company recommends, and much more.

James Benham, president of SmartBidNet said, “By integrating with jobsite123, we are dramatically extending the reach that our clients have when finding subcontractors to bid on work in a consistently competitive construction environment. jobSite123’s successful partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors further solidifies the value that this data provides to our user base.” Benham concluded, “This integration continues our strategy to collaborate with industry leading partners, such as our recently announced partnership with Cloud Takeoff.”

jobSite123.com CEO, Coty Fournier added, “With hundreds of the top GC’s using SmartBidNet’s technology, subcontractors now have every incentive to keep their jobsite123 profile information current and complete, ensuring that SmartBidNet users have instant answers to 95% of the most common pre-qualification questions. Furthermore, our connectivity will save all SmartBidNet users time and money by eliminating the frustration of redundant data entry. When a subcontractor edits their profile in jobsite123, their changes will be automatically reflected in their SmartBidNet public registry profile.”

SmartBidNet will sync with jobSite123’s extensive contractor database daily to provide the most current and relevant information to its users. The official integration will go live by October 2011 and will thereafter be available to all SmartBidNet clients at no extra cost.

SmartBidNet is a web-based software that assists commercial general contractors in managing and prequalifying subcontractors, creating and sending invitations to bid, distributing and collaborating on plan files and takeoff with subcontractors, and processing bid proposals. Users can access their secure database of subcontractors and bid projects 24/7 via web browser or the SmartBidNet mobile app. To learn more, please visit: http://www.smartbidnet.com.

jobSite123.com is the largest search and qualify engine for the U.S. commercial construction industry. It is an instant prequalification tool for project owners, facilities managers and construction managers, while doubling as a powerful marketing tool for general contractors, specialty contractors, material suppliers, manufacturers and other professional companies that service the industry. The Blue Book Construction Directory Coffee Break

I’ve heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  When I hear this, it’s usually when someone’s trying to gain attention by copying someone else’s original ideas - but I never thought it would happen to me!

I tell ya what, we have known since our humble beginnings a few short years ago that our idea was solid.  And we have succeeded in creating truly useful, self-service, online company profiles that really help facilitate business in the commercial construction and design industry.  However, I never thought that our idea would be so attractive to a long-established, 100-year-old company, probably making zillions of dollars every year…that they would copy us.  No wonder the largest industry Orgs are deciding to partner with jobsite123 instead of The Blue Book!  So, am I flattered, you ask?  Yes!  Totally!

In fact, when I found out about The Blue Book copying our original idea, it made me laugh so hard that I fell out of my chair and broke my favorite coffee mug.  So in honor of being copied by a company that has been around for almost an entire century longer than ours, I decided to mark the occassion by getting a new coffee mug for me and everyone in the office.

Jobsite123 vs The Blue Book

As if you couldn’t tell, we’re having some serious fun with all of the attention we’re getting over here. If you want to bring the fun into your office, just click here to order as many mugs as you want!

Until next time…CHEERS!

Nation’s Largest Digital Media Company Serving Commercial Construction

Introducing jobsite123.com BizAds

jobsite123.com Creates the Nation’s Largest Digital Media Company Serving the Commercial Construction and Design Industry

December 2010

In order to drive effective online exposure for its member companies, jobsite123 has launched a new tool called BizAds which individually promotes each of its more than 30,000 member companies with targeted advertising at no charge to its profile owners. Managing over 30,000 company campaigns firmly cements jobsite123 as the industry’s largest advertising and marketing firm.

This is how BizAds works. When someone searches for member company in Google, an ad for that company will appear prominently in Google’s paid search results, in addition to the jobsite123 organic listings. A click on the ad will send the user directly to that company’s comprehensive qualifications profile in jobsite123.com.

This is why BizAds works. The commercial construction and design industry is increasingly turning to search engines like Google to find resources online. jobsite123 member companies are actively promoted to make sure they have a competitive advantage and an opportunity to distinguish themselves via their company’s jobsite123 profile – which communicates their specific project history, experience and other qualifications better than 95% of the websites in the industry.

Steve Dooley, Director of Traffic Acquisition, commented: “We are continuously driving massive, targeted traffic to individual jobsite123 profiles. BizAds is another way we increase our members’ online visibility, which creates more project-bidding opportunities for them. By acquiring substantially greater visibility for our members than they could on their own, we provide significant value and it’s a great feeling every time one of our customers has that “Ah-Ha Moment” and realizes the valuable lead-generation tool that jobsite123 truly is.” Dooley went on to say, “It’s a simple deal: our members get a great free profile on our platform and free advertising to help them make more money, and many of them elect to pay us for additional exposure services. It’s a a true win-win.”

“Typical construction industry websites are so 2005.” said Victor Mendez, Chief Information Officer of jobsite123. Victor went on to elaborate, “Our members consistently come to us for solutions to drive their internet presence and online business development for where the industry is in 2010 and beyond. The great thing here is that we built the best in class solution for our industry.” Victor further commented, “jobsite123’s new BizAds tool is an example of how the platform continues to deliver tangible results to its community of commercial construction and design companies.”

Companies that desire even more exposure can sign up for a plethora of expanded BizAds managed acquisition marketing programs at a commitment level that meets their budget and business goals.

Showcase Your Local Market Knowledge When Bidding on Construction Projects

chief content officer craig noble
Craig Noble

A recent survey of our national database of architects, engineers, general contractors, specialty contractors, material suppliers and other companies related to the commercial construction industry revealed an obvious competitive advantage opportunity…

The exact survey Q&A was:

What is the maximum distance your company would consider pursuing a project bid opportunity?

ENTIRE U.S.                    19%
NEARBY STATES            36%
HOME STATE                  21%
LOCAL COUNTIES ONLY  24%

It shouldn’t come as any surprise that 76% of companies are pursuing projects beyond their own backyard.  This means that you are likely bidding for projects alongside companies from “out-of-town”.  Therefore, when you are bidding on projects within your immediate market area, keep in mind that you can differentiate your company from the “out-of-towners” by showcasing your local market knowledge to gain a competitive advantage.

Good advice huh, Little Buddy!?!  Now go checkout jobsite123.com …it’s full of smart architects, engineers and contractors.

Does Your Company Subscribe to a Business Leads Service?

chief content officer craig noble
Craig Noble

A recent survey of our national database of architects, engineers, general contractors, specialty contractors, material suppliers and other companies related to the commercial construction industry revealed how important it is to subscribe to a business leads service…

The exact survey Q&As were:

Does your company currently subscribe to a formal service that provides project bid opportunities (Examples: Dodge Reports, Bidclerk, etc.)?

YES  68%
NO    32%

If you answered YES to the question above, have any of them become paying clients?

YES  74%
NO    26%

Three-quarters is a huge percentage turning their subscription-based leads into paying clients. So, just incase you were “on the fence” about whether or not this business development tactic was worthwhile…now you know!

This also explains why we began offering this service.  Click the following link to check out our new Construction Project Notification Service.

Act now…we are currently offering this new service at an “introductory price point”, so it is way under-priced, Fella!
